Legal Products

Galvanize Law offers legal products to meet your business needs. We provide a free, comprehensive Mechanic’s Lien Checklist that includes the steps you need to take to record your lien. The Galvanize Law Bidvoice is an all-in-one contract for use on day work, short, or small projects - it combines your services bid with the invoice for work and provides key legal protections. The Commercial Contract Addendum can be used as a short contract for general contractors or property owners for commercial projects, or it can be combined with a current bid or proposal as an addendum to over-ride one-sided contract language.

Bidvoice

Never go unpaid for work on a project. Too many contractors are caught by surprise when their clients fail to pay and the contractor has no legal protection in place to collect. Failing to have a basic contract in place can also create disputes over scope and terms of work, if the client believes work was not completely or properly performed.

This is why Galvanize Law created the Bidvoice, a contract product for companies and tradespeople that specialize in small scale, same day projects. The Bidvoice is a succinct document that combines the bidding and invoicing process, acknowledges the customer's agreement, and provides baseline legal protections. Because the Bidvoice is compact and in the familiar style of an invoice, it is approachable as an entry-level option for individuals or companies running small projects.

The Bidvoice is designed for general use in day work, small scale or short term projects. By purchasing and using the Bidvoice, you are not forming an attorney-client relationship with Galvanize Law. If you are performing projects beyond the scope of what the Bidvoice contemplates, we recommend that you retain Galvanize Law to create a custom set of contract terms for your use.

Commercial Contract Addendum

Do you like getting paid for commercial projects? Do you often get contracts from the property owners or general contractors that give you no protection?

The Commercial Contract Addendum is a succinct document that can be used in two ways:

  1. It can be used as a short contract with either a general contractor or a property owner for commercial projects.

  2. It can be combined with a bid or proposal so that the party who you will contract with will know your terms and conditions upfront. Often we see contractors submitting their proposals and receiving a one-sided contract that strips them of all of their rights and protections. They have a choice to spend time and money marking up the one-sided contract they received to try and make it fair, or signing the contract and hoping for the best. If used properly and attached to any one-sided contract, the Addendum should override most of the tough terms in a one-sided contract.

For $300, you’ll receive:

  • A professional, editable version of the Commercial Contract Addendum that can be customized with your logo and completed for prospective customers, plus terms and conditions that protect your business from liability

  • A video walkthrough of the key terms and instructions for completion

  • Written instructions on how to use the Commercial Contract Addendum
